Turkish photographer and digital artist Aydin Büyüktaş has created a series of warped images of Istanbul, much like the film 2010 movie Inception.

Inspired by the book ‘Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions’ by Edwin Abbat, his series looks to transform our perceptions and visually surprise with multidimensional points of view.

Büyüktaş captures the roads, bridges, canals, sports arenas, mosques and markets using a drone to shoot the aerial photos before digitally stitching them together.

He says that one of the most challenging parts of the project was catching the weather at the right time, technical problems, permissions with the flight and birds attacking the drone.
